Key Fob Compatibility & Fit Check

Before you order a custom painted compatible key fob shell, send us clear photos and key details so we can review the closest available fit.

Custom painted compatible key fob shells start at $99. Complete aftermarket key fobs may be quoted separately when available. This is a pre-order fit review, not a guaranteed vehicle compatibility database.

What photos to upload

  • Front of your key fob, straight-on, with all buttons visible.
  • Back of your key fob, straight-on.
  • Close-up of the button layout and icons.
  • Close-up of any FCC ID, IC ID, part number, model number, or label.
  • Inside battery compartment or back cover label, if accessible.
  • Side/profile photo showing shell thickness, seams, screw position, or emergency key slot.
  • Vehicle year, make, model, trim, and whether it is push-button start or keyed ignition.

FCC ID and button count guide

Look for the FCC ID on the back of the fob, inside the battery cover, under the emergency key, or on an internal label. Include every visible marking, even if you are not sure which number matters.

Count every physical button: lock, unlock, trunk, hatch, panic, remote start, power tailgate, sliding door, or blank/hidden button areas. Button order matters. A 4-button fob may not match another 4-button fob if the layout, icon position, or shell shape is different.

Not sure which key fob fits?

Send us your photos and key details before ordering. We will review the information and let you know whether we can suggest a compatible painted shell option or quote a complete aftermarket fob.

Compatibility FAQ

Do you guarantee compatibility?

No. The fit check helps reduce mismatch risk based on the photos and details you provide, but it is not a guaranteed compatibility database or programming guarantee.

What is the difference between a painted shell and a complete aftermarket key fob?

A painted shell is the exterior case. A complete aftermarket key fob may include electronics and usually requires local cutting or programming services, which we do not provide.

Can you cut or program my key?

No. We do not provide key cutting, cloning, programming, immobilizer pairing, or locksmith services.

Can I send you my original key to modify?

No. We do not modify customer original keys. The fit check is for reviewing compatible painted shell options or quoting a complete aftermarket fob when available.

What if I cannot find my FCC ID or part number?

Upload clear front, back, inside-label, and button-layout photos, plus your vehicle year, make, model, and trim. We may still be able to review it, or we may ask for more details.

Is button count enough to confirm fit?

No. Button count is only one part of the review. Shell shape, button position, FCC ID, part number, emergency key slot, and vehicle details can all matter.

Will a complete aftermarket fob work immediately when it arrives?

Usually no. Complete fobs often need cutting and programming by a local automotive locksmith, dealer, or qualified technician.

How long does a fit check take?

Most reviews can be answered after we receive clear photos and complete vehicle details. If the fob has unclear markings or multiple possible versions, we may ask for additional photos.
